hello!

ahhh, springtime in new york city.. makes me feel like bloggin'!

actually, i blog out of a fiscal inability to leave work and enjoy the outdoors. capitalism, you bastard.

if you can't tell, i'm a little loopy today.. most likely a mix of the low-grade cold i just busted and the huge lack of sleep over the last month or so. nice.

although i'm just shy of 22 years, 2 months old, i feel old today.. my boss just signed me up for my retirement plan. i was supposed to start next quarter, when i hit the one-year mark, but she started me this quarter "as a little perk." i love how after being here for three years, i still receive perks... i'm not going anywhere, you can stop seducing me. this, however, makes my mom (and some of my friends) bitter. especially because they know my dooce/fussy/finslippy:work ratio.

i also feel old because- as you probably know- Cuz'n Stacey is preggers. cuz'ns don't have babies! aunts and uncles have babies! after the first "i'm havin' drew's baby" email, i was like "yay! baby! babies are fun!", but after the sonogram and gender email it was more like "THERE IS A HUMAN IN YOUR BELLY! IT HAS A NAME! IT HAS AN 18+ YEAR COMMITMENT POLICY!"

weird.

way too grown-up for me.. i'll continue dancing til the sun comes up and act like i'm not really growing up. and if i ever leave here, i'll probably just waste my retirement fund in vegas.
