I've been helping Carlos (my beau du année) with some website stuff and after messing around with someone's CSS code for their website, I thought, "Dang it, I'm going to get my blog up and running again this year."

Laissez les bonnes temps roulez!

Summer is always my favorite season to be in New York, mainly because it means I'm in New York City and NOT IN SCHOOL. Last summer (and the summer before), The Girls and I enjoyed taking advantage of the multiple concerts, pubs, beaches and roofs (rooves?!?) available to us in this fine city without the promise of class, homework or tests looming over us, weighing us down.

This summer, one year removed from college, seems to be no different-- starting tomorrow, when I'm going to my first Yankees game of the season (woot woot!). May holds promise of a roadtrip to Dallas and a trip upstate; June will be filled with a Wong visit (move?!? ..i wish), flights to Nevada and Florida, as well as a new poodle in the hizzle; July is Vermont (crossing fingers here), Nantucket and Lord knows where else; I'll wind down in August with another trip to Nevada, perhaps a trip to NC and/or MS (shh!) and there's a 75% chance two of my mother's offspring will be living in the greater NY area by the 30th. Sprinkle a few Yankee games in there, as well as a few concerts, etc, and I'll be ready for our final summer trip upstate in September. Not to mention tanning on the roof, hanging out on the terrace, random Doc's and McSwiggan nights and the walks home that those imply.

Ah yes, I love da summa time.

Trees Lounge has a post of 100 songs about Louisiana, from every genre and era.. you can listen to them one-by-one, or just head on over to the Hype Machine and listen to them there. I highly recommend their flash player.

dear blogger:

i hate you and hope you die. if i weren't so lazy, i would go back to movable type and css and abandon your crappy publishing software forever. yes, 4-eva.

in the meantime, thanks for losing some of my posts and publishing others 3 times. that was a lot of fun.
